Description Our manufacturing client in American Canyon is seeking an interim Payroll Manager for a 2+ month engagement. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in payroll management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. The ideal candidate will oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide accurate and timely payroll services for a diverse workforce. This role requires onsite work 4 days per week, with one remote day. The expected pay is between $55-$65/hr. Responsibilities: - Supervise and guide a Payroll Specialist to ensure smooth payroll processing - Collaborate with HR and other departments to address cross-functional needs and initiatives - Manage payroll operations for both hourly and salaried employees, including weekly and bi-weekly cycles - Oversee payroll for approximately 120 permanent employees and 300-400 hourly workers - Ensure precise payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now and other financial systems - Respond promptly to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions - Administer 401k and RRSP contributions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws - Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze payroll data and generate reports - Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of payroll records while adhering to company policies Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll management. - Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems. - Expertise in processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for mid-sized organizations. - Strong knowledge of 401k and RRSP administration. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for payroll analysis and reporting. - Demonstrated ability to manage payroll for 100-500 employees. - Exceptional organizational and communication skills. - Adaptability to respond to employee inquiries with precision and professionalism.
