Operations Specialist - Banking experience required

North Bend, WA

4-5 months contract

Work for a trusted, full-service financial cooperative. Our client is looking for an Operations Specialist who plays a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day financial operations that support both members and internal teams.

This position is responsible for a variety of back-office functions, including deposit processing, account monitoring, electronic payments, and card services. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and effective collaboration across departments to meet operational and compliance standards

Operations Specialist Responsibilitie s:

• Process cash orders, wire transfers, and ACH transactions (including exceptions and international monitoring).
• Perform daily deposit operations such as overdrafts, account maintenance, and legal notices.
• Support debit/credit card services, including fraud and dispute handling.
• Respond to member inquiries and ensure BSA compliance.
• Maintain procedures, conduct branch audits, and support IRA administration.
• Track and report negative balance and charge-off accounts.

Operations Specialist Qualifications :

• Must have experience in the banking industry.
• Strong understanding of ACH, wire transfer, and card processing systems.
• Familiarity with banking regulations, including BSA compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in standard office software and banking systems.

Compensation: $24-27/hr.
