Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Hughson, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting HR operations within the agriculture industry. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Facilitate onboarding activities to ensure new employees have a smooth transition into the organization.
- Manage employee relations by addressing workplace concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
- Administer HR systems, including maintaining accurate employee records and utilizing HRIS platforms.
- Conduct background checks and ensure compliance with hiring standards.
- Assist in processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
- Support training and development initiatives to enhance workforce skills and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Collaborate with management to implement strategies for workforce planning and organizational growth.
- Promote a strong organizational culture and employee engagement through various initiatives. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR administration processes.
- Strong understanding of onboarding procedures and candidate evaluation protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on employee relations.
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and benefits administration is a plus.
