Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer with a strong background in banking and financial services to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure, along with a deep understanding of banking data domains such as loans, credit risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable data pipelines on Azure using services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Databricks , and Azure SQL/SQL MI .
Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple banking systems.
Work with business stakeholders and analysts to understand data requirements related to risk, compliance, fraud, and customer insights.
Develop data models and support data warehousing solutions aligned with banking regulatory and reporting standards (e.g., Basel, BCBS239).
Ensure data quality, governance, and security practices are applied across all pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and application developers, to support advanced analytics and reporting initiatives.
Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency within Azure.
